Cesar Pelli

Cesar Pelli was born on October 12, 1926; He is an Argentine American architect who creates some of the world’s tallest buildings. He immigrated to the United States in 1952 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1964. Pelli studied at the architecture school of the University of Illinois and later became the dean of the architecture school at Yale.  He married Diana Balmori, a renowned landscape and urban designer. They had two children: Denis, a neurobiologist and Professor of Psychology and Neural Science at New York University and Rafael, also a renowned architect. He created his own firm and employs about 100 architects, designers, and support staff in New Haven, Connecticut.
  Pelli's architectural style is metallic and art-deco influenced buildings. One of the most famous buildings he ever designed is the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The building is two towers connected by a bridge in the middle. Pelli also designed the Wells Fargo Center in Minneapolis in 1989. Pelli is known for creating monster skyscrapers around the world. He has won many awards such as the AIA Gold Medal in 1995 for being the best architect of that year. To this day he is still designing buildings all around the world and will be known as one of the best architects ever.
